Hello! My name is Diego Araya. I'm an enthusiastic designer based in Costa Rica.

I've always been fascinated about the aesthetic problem, especially in the way that it relates with people who consume design in a contemporary context.

I often find myself intrigued by computer generated graphics, generative algorithms, mathematics and ordinary natural phenomena that I use to construct and develop concepts that are useful and valuable to my design and creative process.

My work can revolve around a number of areas of design, but I've enjoyed primarily working on Interaction Design, Creative Coding, Branding, Graphic and Experience Design.

I've worked independently and with agencies on design, administration and development of creative projects that generate visual communication products.

Products, design, and communication have historically been evaluated by their utilitarian component, leaving little to no room for the joy, the emotionality and mystique of creativity and exciting messages and experiences.

Modern design practices must remember and celebrate that we are emotional beings, who consume in an emotional manner.

As a creative producer, designer, and artist I enjoy every chance to create and fill visual universes, guide and stimulate the senses with valuable experiences, and use design as a tool to help people, create valuable businesses, and enjoy life.

I love the creative process and it’s construction, I look towards strenghten it on my projects as a key component. I believe in the constant construction of a better version of myself, my work and my legacy.

During my own time, I will usually be hanging out with my friends, napping, doodling, playing my guitar or just investigating about whatever latest subject I'm obsessed with.
